About Me

Me
My name is Fritz Chandra Vila, I'm Indonesian, from Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. I know, that my name doesn't sound like an Indonesian name, it's akward, even to me. But I'm proud of it, coz it defines who I really am.

Though it is hard for many Indonesian tongues, it's quite familiar for foreigners, especially those from European countries, and it gives me benefits when I got to introduce myself to them. We got along quite easy, whenever I go and see the European travelers around Indonesia.

I dedicate myself to introduce the beauty of Indonesia to the world. As an indigenous people of Indonesia, I am very proud of my country. The natural beauty, the warm welcoming people, the rich cultural aspect as well as remains of a millennia ancient civilization, and of course the variety of culinary that scattered across the nation couldn't get me more proud.

Since college and having International communities during my study in Malaysia, I have represented myself as an independent tourism ambassador of Indonesia, I succeeded taking some of my foreign friends to Indonesia and showed them the beauty it has to offer. I have this huge passion in tourism and I love to travel, especially to destinations where not many people goes. Deep in the jungle or to the beaches or Island in remote places in Indonesia.

I have been doing jobs in banking, in Islamic banking. It thought me a lot about analyzing ones business and give judgement whether the business is worthy of bank finance or not. And I've been thinking, why not I were the one who run the business? and sometimes later a bank officer will do the same as I did to the business owners.

The problem is, what kind of business best suit me? I had a two years experience of running business, it was a coffeeshop, which was initially proposed by my high school friends. I thought that the business will run for at least 5 years, I was wrong. My friends left me alone running business after six months of the coffeeshop opening. So I had no choice but to survive my own.The coffeeshop was there for another one and a half year. I had to close it after my employees resigned, and I already busy with my new job in another Islamic Bank.

For me it is a good experience, I learnt a lot through that process. Hoping that one day I would re-open my coffeeshop and gain profits in future. I still have it though, a very small one in front of my room, so that my coffee tools don't get rusty. But it's not enough. I'm thinking to establish my new business, one that connects to my traveling passion, a full dedication to introduce Indonesia and invites foreigners to come and enjoy time as well as spend money here.
